What to expect from your consult with Kirsten Taylor.
Unlike a short 5 or 10 minutes consult at the Doctors, an initial Naturopathic consultations (Standard) are for 1.5 hours and provide you with a thorough evaluation of your current health status. Evaluation takes into consideration your complete health history. An evaluation is done in a sort of interview process where by Kirsten asks you a lot of questions. It is a scan or overview of your body and body systems. It is very thorough with the idea being not to leave any stone unturned as this can sometimes be the KEY to getting your health back on track for you.
During your consultation process Kirsten, your Naturopath, is busy working for you, analysing all that you are sharing with her in a completely non judgemental way, being similar to a private investigator of your health. Kirsten is there for you and will be connecting the dots and constantly strategising so that she can get you the best results in the most effecient way. You will most likley not even be aware she is doing this most of the time as the process feels so natural and easy going. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.
After your health goals, budget and areas of urgency are taken into consideration you will be given a total health plan and daily planner so you will know exactly what you need to do and what remedies you need to take. This will most likely look something like this:

RECCOMENDATIONS:
This is where I will list any additional recommendations that are specific to you. Every client gets a comprehensive General Health Guidelines sheet as well as these.
Water 30mls/kg body weight per day. Drink steadily throughout the day. No more than 200mls per half hour.
No more than 1 cup of green tea as this interferes with folic acid metabolism.
Eat breakfast at home – not in front of computer at work
Soak muesli over night – no toasted muesli
Start day with protein – see sheet.
You will then be asked if I have done what you wanted, if you are satisfied with the plan and if you have any questions.
Initial consultations are very empowering for you as you will know more about what is happening in your body, hopefully why it is happening and what you need to do. Your health plan will encorporate nutritional advice, lifestyle factors, any natural medicines that you may be recommended to take and more. Any further tests that are recommended for your wellness will be explained to you and you will be in total control and respected at all times.

Message from Kirsten As a Naturopath I am trained to support every aspect of your health and wellbeing. Naturopaths are the Gp's of the natural health world. I have been taught in the following modalities of Natural medicine, massage, homeopathy, Herbal medicines, iridology, kinesiology, Aromatherapy etc. Following my graduation I have furthered my study in Nutriceutical therapies, immunological support, Homeobotanical therapies and many more. As a clinical naturopath I am committed to my continuing education. As I belong to several professional associations including the NZSN and HbInst I am required to do so in order to keep my membership. However I continue my education because I am totally passionate about Natural Medicine. Our field is fast and discoveries are made on a daily basis, we have to keep up or be left behind. I know I can get you better results with your health if I attend these seminars and gain a real understanding of the latest scientific breakthroughs what the protocols are and how to implement them. The areas I work with, the conditions that people present with are wide and varied but there are overall patterns within the body that encompass immunity, inflammation and stress as the underlying factors in most people. Cancellation Policy: As my time is important to me and to my clients I do require some notice for cancellations. A minimum of 24 hours is appropriate, rescheduling would be preferred. If you do not give 24 hours notice you will be charged at 50% of the fee. No notice at all will result in a 100% charge unless your circumstances are extreme.
